Aggro-rap heads, your clenched-fist prayers have been answered. Minnesota rap duo Atmosphere and fellow North Star Stater P.O.S. are taking their no-nonsense, angry, political, and wordy acts on the road all over North America starting in April. Atmosphere will be touring behind last year's When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold as well as this year's God Loves Ugly reissue. P.O.S. is supporting the rap-rock stylings of his latest, Never Better. Without further ado:

Atmosphere's Second Album Reissued With Bonus DVD

The sophomore long-player from slightly troubled Twin City twosome Atmosphere, 2002's God Loves Ugly, has languished in out-of-print purgatory for a good year now. All that changes January 20, when Rhymesayers issues a remastered, repackaged version of the set on CD and LP, coupled with a copy of what was originally the limited edition Sad Clown Bad Dub 4 (The GodLovesUgly Release Parties) DVD.

The visual portion of the proceedings features more than two hours of performances, backstage footage, the videos for "GodLovesUgly", "Summersong", and "Say Shh", plus some memorable guest appearances. The audio portion packs the same 18 tracks as the original issue, but the aforementioned remaster certainly can't hurt in turning up the anguish.

Before things get Ugly yet again, Atmosphere have a smattering of live dates to attend to, every one in a location far balmier than their upper Midwestern home. They're in the process of plotting a big North American tour in the spring too, but those dates have yet to emerge.

Atmosphere Extend "Paint the Nation" Tour

In an attempt to bring folks more Lemon-y freshness than a dish soap commercial, Atmosphere have added a second leg of U.S. dates to their "Paint the Nation" tour. The trek now extends into mid-November.

Before the nation-painting begins, Atmosphere have some European dates to finish, starting tonight (August 15) in Zurich, Switzerland. After "Paint the Nation", the duo has also added a trio of Australian dates.

Finally, Atmosphere will play the Take Back Labor Day festival in St. Paul during the Republican National Convention, as previously reported.

Atmosphere to "Paint the Nation" This Fall

With the flecks of gold enamel still lodged under their fingernails from this spring's still-fresh When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold LP, the dudes of Atmosphere are ready to re-paint the town. In late summer and early fall, they'll embark on the "Paint the Nation" tour of the United States.

Following a run in Europe next month, they'll get back on the road come September and October, hitting quite a few spots they missed on their spring jaunt. They'll be joined on all non-festival dates by Ohio rhymer/producer Blueprint, rapper Abstract Rude, and DJ Rare Groove. And, at all stops, their many tender feelings.
